Vintage Steampunk Industrial Style Machine Age Ge Copper Cast Iron Table Lamp

Current Price: $ 325.00

This steampunk machine age style table lamp is assembled from vintage parts. A 1920s era copper sheathed 15” space heater dish forms the shade. It is complete with original protective grill with large GE logo. The base and scroll work horizontal arm are hand formed wrought iron salvaged from a 1920s colonial revival style floor lamp. Two pieces of cast iron provide extra stability to the base—one piece is a plate from a vintage seed planter, the other an industrial pulley. On one end of the horizontal arm is a vintage brass ampere meter. The exposed copper wires are decorative only, not conductive. Power is supplied with a brown cloth covered twisted power cord with a matching replica brown Bakelite plug. The lamp is shown with an extra large 6” bulb (not included) which can be purchased new in any lamp shop, hardware store or big box building center. The new socket in the shade will accept any standard medium base bulb. The shade tilts forward and backward. The entire horizontal arm revolves around the vertical shaft and is controlled by tightening/loosening a knurled knob. As shown, the lamp is about 28” to top edge of shade. With shade vertical, maximum length of horizontal arm from amp meter on back to front of the grill is about 22”. All pieces in very good vintage condition; iron has 3 coats of natural shellac sealer. SHIPPING NOTE: The shade will be removed for shipping. It attaches to the main frame with a simple wing nut, no tools required. (although you may want to use a pair of pliers depending on your hand strength). Please see photo marked "as shipped".Flat shipping charge of $25.00 for shipping excludes Hawaii and Alaska.
